Nicola and Dudu worked together at both African Harvest and Citadel. A much loved
colleague at Brait introduced Nicola to Saphira, and now the three of us
are walking a road together. A group of women who intend to make a difference.

Nicky founded Yiza Nawe in 2019.
Nicky’s skills are sales and marketing, primarily in the financial services industry. She has a passion for identifying businesses to partner with, engaging with owners and management teams to explore meaningful partnerships.
She has been in financial services in various roles for 25 years at Investec, Brait, Prescient and Citadel amongst others.
Growing a business, making it more efficient and identifying new opportunities is where her interest lies. These skills are valuable in any industry.

Dudu is a founding partner of Yiza Nawe. She started her working life as an engineering consultant and researcher but was enticed into banking and worked for Cape of Good Hope Bank for 4 years. That experience spurred curiosity about the financial markets, and she joined the Investment Management industry in 1998 till now.
She joined the investment management sector in 1998 where she currently still operates. Dudu worked at Investec Asset Management, Gensec Asset Management and African Harvest Fund Managers. She was a founding partner of Orthogonal Investments which was launched in 2007 and was merged with Citadel Asset Management in 2011. For the last 6 years Dudu has been a Portfolio Manager at Argon Asset Management.
Dudu has a BSc Hons (Engineering and control theory)
MSc & DIC (Imperial College, London University).

Saphira Patel is an innovative sustainability and ESG strategist with 20 years’ experience in the sustainability and development sectors. Having managed multi-disciplinary teams, Saphira’s roles include advising on sustainable development including, climate change mitigation and adaptation, environment and social due diligence and strategy. In addition, she has experience in sustainability strategy, the just transition, ESG and framework development.
